Hasnah Tahar

Hasnah was born to a father from Bogor, West Java and a mother from Padang, West Sumatra. Hasnah began her career as a singer of Malay Peninsula songs. In 1948, Hasnah and her family returned to Padang, and she joined the Queen Asia drama group led by Sjamsudin Sjafei. In 1950, he went to Jakarta to join the Queen of Asia's entourage and made a recording with Irama Record. In addition to making recordings, Hasnah also plays films, including: A Flower on the Edge of the Lake (1952), Rela (1954), Three-Age Girls (1955), and the Lost Regions (1956). His name continues to rise as a Malay-style singer, accompanied by the Bukit Siguntang orchestra and Sinar Medan.(from wikipedia)
