Les Preachers

Members: Robert Goulet (2), Rémy Jouvence, Claude Hétu, W. Lee (3)

This is a 1960s uptempo soul / r & b / groove band from Québec (perhaps Laval, a Montréal suburb), and the only Canadian band invited to play at the Expo '64 in New York. Apart from playing original songs, they also recorded French-language versions of an Aaron Neville song, "Tell It Like It Is", as well as a version of "Respect" by Otis Redding. They released songs on 7" vinyl on the Plaza and the Sabre labels. The members were Claude Hétu, W. Lee, Remy Jouvence, and Robert Goulet. Remy Jouvence also played with the band Tune Up Boys. Robert Goulet also performed with Jacques Michel, Ovila, Ray Combo, and Karo.
