Real name: Edgar M. Conrad, III

"Conny" Conrad was born August 20, 1940 in Pittsburg, Kansas - where he lived most of his life. He was a musician (saxophone) and bandleader of rock & roll band Conny & The Bellhops, which began in 1958. In 2010, they were elected into the Kansas Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Conrad also spent time as a disc jockey and program director at KSEK-KMRJ, Pittsburg and was a newscaster for eight years at KOAM-TV, Pittsburg. He also spent time as a commercial artist. He died November 11, 1989 in Pittsburg, Kansas at age 49.
