Phil Bell
Guitarist and former music journalist based in north London, England. In the London scene of the early-mid '90s. he developed a reputation for his rhythm guitar playing. He toured Europe with Brothers Like Outlaw and later with Leena Conquest. Whilst his own bands; the Filberts (including Charlie Creed-Miles and Dexter Fletcher) can be seen in the 1994 film Glastonbury –The Movie; Vibe Tribe released material on groove label Boogie Back; and as half of the Afropeans. He also uses the name Phil "Sweet Pea" Bellko.
As a journalist he began writing for Sounds in 1981 and later contributed to Kerrang!, Noise and International Musician. He gave up writing in 1984 to pursue his musical career.
