"I grew up in a house by some woods in the south of Edinburgh. As a small boy it was my belief that the woods stretched for miles and, over the years, I discovered every inch. I reckon I could still find all the good hiding places today. This playground instilled an appreciation of the great outdoors that has lasted the length of my life so far and show no sign of faltering. It also sparked a need to not be stagnant at any time for too long.

The eleven songs on this record were written over a period of three years and document the childhood and teenage rites of passage we all stumble through at some point. From themes of relationships between friends, family and loved ones in more recent years to the pitfalls of confusing teenage romance and loss. The foundation of these songs is the desire to keep discovering new places and people, but to still keep a wrought iron sense of where you came from and how it's shaped the person you are."
