Aimé Barelli

French jazz trumpeter, composer and bandleader, born May 1, 1917 in Loda, near Lantosque, France, died July 13, 1995 in Monaco (Principality of Monaco). Aimé worked with Charles Trénet, Django Reinhardt, Miles Davis, Alix Combelle, Charlie Parker and others and with own his groups. Husband of Lucienne Delyle, father of Minouche Barelli, for whom he conducted the Eurovision Song Contest orchestra in Vienna in 1967. He was a naturalized Monegasque.
