All Good Funk Alliance

Real name: Francisco Cueto and Rusty Belicek

Effective period / Period of releases: 2000 - 2012

Members: Francisco Cueto, Rusty Belicek

The All Good Funk Alliance (AGFA) consists of Frank Cueto and Russell Belicek. AGFA met while taking music production courses at college in Northern Virginia. Rusty was interested in production and was just getting started; Frank had been producing for awhile and had a small studio setup. At their first crack at the studio together, they knew there was something special to be had from the relationship. They both had different influences that pushed them to fine tune their sound. Frank brought his Latin heritage, classic rock, and techno background; and Rusty was heavily influenced by early hip-hop, industrial music, and house.

The two became heavily involved in searching out classic funk and jazz records and pushing the craft further. Frank went on to American University to graduate as a music engineer and started perfecting the art of professional production. Meanwhile, Rusty immersed himself in djing and studying what Frank was doing, and soon the two were jamming out tracks and coming up with a whole, new sound.

All Good Funk Alliance run the Funk Weapons, Super Hi-Fi, and Baffin Island Beat Brigade labels.
