Suffering/Dukkha: The first door to Oneness is an awareness of the existence of suffering in life. We tend to imagine our suffering is unique to us. But what exists in reality is not my or your suffering but One Suffering. This awakening leads to the flowering of the heart and compassion.
Faith: For a short while you have the experience of transcending self-centered suffering which leads to faith; faith that it is possible to be free of suffering.
Joy: From a state of despair and dejection you now move to joy and faith in liberation. What had hitherto seemed impossible now appears possible. It is like seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
Rapture: The process now takes you to your unconscious hurts and pains accumulated through birth, childhood, and later years. Rapture being the best way to release mental blocks and heal the pains, you go into great states of laughter and your pains are healed.
Calm: Mental blocks having been cleansed up by rapture - the body is now naturally in a state of calm and ease. The storm is over.
Bliss: You discover that the true nature of all existence is bliss or Ananda. After this every experience of suffering automatically gets converted to bliss. You are no longer afraid of suffering. For the first time you experience joy without a cause.
Awareness: In bliss all psychological and emotional conflicts have ceased to be. Stillness of energy is attention or meditation. Meditation is now a natural happening; there is no effort.
