After scheduling their next album for February 2000, they released it in May 2000 titled I Got That Work which went platinum. The group released its most successful album in 2002 titled Hood Rich. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 and spawned a major hit in "Still Fly" which reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. Later in 2002, Mannie Fresh resigned from Cash Money Records because of financial dispute with Birdman, and his brother Slim. After Mannie Fresh left Cash Money Records permanently in 2005, the group disbanded and Birdman pursued a solo career.
