French jazz musician, guitar player and composer of Sinti origin, born September 4, 1966 in Saverne, France.A "guitar phenomenon", according to John McLaughlin, he came to prominence in the 1980s via his manouche (Django-like) style. After collaborations with his musical patron Jan Jankeje, he has cooperated from the early 1980s on - at a very young age and still being considered a child prodigy - with famous jazz artists such as Jaco Pastorius, Benny Carter and Benny Goodman.
