Cráneo

Spanish heavy metal band
Cráneo won VI Trofeo Villa de Madrid. As a prize they released 3 tracks in the Split “VI Trofeo Villa de Madrid” (1983) with two Pop Bands called Números Rojos & Los Inquilinos del 5º. The tracks they recorded were “Sin Poder Ver el Sol”, “Estela Azul” and “Un Plástico Más”. Due to massive success of this band, from that year ahead Trofeo Villa de Madrid was split in two labels: Hard Rock/Heavy Metal and Pop/Rock.

Cráneo played a NWOBHM inspired Heavy Metal and after recording those three tracks, in 1985, they were close to record an album (that would be produced by Armando de Castro (Barón Rojo). But this album was never recorded and only a Mini-LP (Niños Desarraigados b/w Marcado por el Rock 'n' Roll) was recorded, but never released. At some point after 1985 they were guest for {link Azuzena} gigs after she left Santa.

One of the three tracks they recorded for the split (Un Plástico Más) appear in the Compilation “Destrozando El Olvido” by Desobediencia Records.
