Side A recorded in mono in London in his Islington home 1976 January.

Side B recorded in stereo in concert at the ICA Cinema 1975 May 22.

Side A consists of complete improvisations.
Side B consists of extracts from extended improvisations.
No overdubbing has been used (apart from the brief concert appearance of a tape recorder on B2).

Three guitars were used:

A1, A2, A5: A Gibson 175 (6-string) without amplification.
B1, B3, B4: The same guitar with stereo amplification.
A3, A4: An Epiphone Blackstone (6-string) without amplification.
B2, B5: An Epihone 19-string (approx) (Also heard on these two pieces: a Waisvisz Crackle Box played by members of the audience, an amplified thundersheet, and a tape recorder).
