This compilation contains the entire Echo City - Gramophone (tracks 1-14) and two tracks (15 & 16) of previously unreleased music from the first five years of Echo City (1983-1988).

Track 13 title is incorrectly given on the release as "On Tarr Steps".

No track credits are given on the release.

"Weaver's Field Band" played and recorded July/August 1983 and October/December 1984. Final assembly made December 1984 at Hollabury Sound, Cheltenham.
"Doddy No Diddy" performed September 4 1988, Convent Garden Piazza, London. Mixed and edited at Sofa Sound, Freshford, Bath.
"Gramophone" recorded January1986 and February/March 1987 at the London Musicians Collective, Camden, London; Silent Studios, Rotherithe, London; Abbey Mill, Lanercost, Cumbria.
