Or we'll make it to the gig and find out we're playing in a corner behind the pool tables, we have to pay for beer, and we're only the background music for the bouncers who are the real show. Things will look pretty bleak, then we'll get on stage and start to play, look out over the pool tables, and one you ya'll is singing along, another one of you is shaking your booty, and another wearing a tattered GK T-shirt. That's what it's all about. And at the end of the night when we're trying to figure out how 150 people X $5 at the door / 3 bands = $36. There is always one of ya'll waiting to put us up for the night. often a group of you will take us around your town the next day, show us some cool sites, give us some history, or point us towards a great soul food restaurant. Thank you for being so cool to us. And a big thanks to our home town fans. You know who you are. Who come to all of our shows, request our songs on the radio, and come to our defense when things get a little squirrelly.
