Si la nuit dernière était un groupe, elle serait sombre et violente, constellée de tessons de bouteilles, avec un gros trou noir sur la fin. Last Night, c'est trois types qui ne rigolent pas, survivants miraculeux des pires gangs de Paris (Fix-it, Jetsex, et ces putains de Cavaliers), venus enfoncer un power punk bas-du-front dans le crâne des traîtres. Garage infused, cold wavy, post-punk riffage with sing-along hooks. Sounds like they’re into equal parts JOY DIVISION and the MINDS. While I cringe at most things “cold wave,” this has enough character, energy and garage wherewithal to make it a compelling listen. It walks a fine line but there’s enough energy to outshine any of the moody posturing often associated with the genre. Solid hooks and reckless energy are the glue that holds this one together.
