Locash was a band from St. Louis, MO. Before locash ever formed we had different people doing different things. Chris, Adam, and two other people were in a band called Pillage. But when their drummer, Dustin, moved to Illinois, they slowly died off.The band was formed when members from Pillage and another band came together to play a cover of Downset's "Holding Hands" at the annual talent show of the De Smet Jesuit High School in 1996.
The band line-up seemed complete, but then in early November of '97, Matt Deutschmann, inspired by the DJ of Incubus, DJ Lyfe, joined locash as their master turntable man.
Many practices and many arguments later, they formed what seemed to resemble a band. The rest, they say, is history.
