MBrother

Real name: Mikołaj Jaskółka

Effective period / Period of releases: 2003

Born: 1981 in Oświęcim, Poland.
Died: 15 January 2018 in Brzezinka, Poland (aged 36).

Mikołaj Jaskółka (MBrother) was a Polish hands-up, trance and progressive house producer. Founder and manager of Goblin Records and JPlanet Entertaiment. In 2003, his single Trebles from his debut album Just In The Mix brought him popularity in Poland and several European countries. He went on to produce more club and pop singles in his native Poland, as well as for artists from Europe and the United State, such as Bitter Sweet, Spring Fever, Mikko, and Elephunk.

Mikołaj died on 15 January 2018 at 36 after he lost his fight against mediastinal B-cell lymphoma cancer, with which he was diagnosed in 2016. Although immediate treatment helped, he experienced complications after a month. On his Facebook page, he regularly reported on his hospital stay by posting photos and status updates in which he asked fans for support. His only chance to beat his cancer was with expensive medicines not available in Poland. Despite the active involvement of Internet users on the page zrzutka.pl, tragically, he was unable to raise the necessary funds for further treatment. On January 13, 2018, two days before his death, Mikołaj published the following status: "Dear friends ... I was to record a video today, but again I just could not do it. I'm struggling with a few things ... I hope that it will work tomorrow. Excuse me." This was the last message that Mikołaj/MBrother was able to share before his death.
