"Uncle" Joe Benson chronicles the life and music of Mark Knopfler, including contributions to his historic band Dire Straits, and he actually interviews Knopfler in the studio for this one hour radio special. (And given that the two appear together, Knopfler took over the Segment Intro duties on this show.) Some of the interview bits (specifically the ones where Knopfler discusses Dire Straits music) were recycled later and also appeared on a 2008 Off The Record radio special, Dire Straits - Off The Record Classic. The show contains commercials and studio tracks from several of the band's albums, plus Knopfler's solo tunes. Released to coincide with Knopfler's latest (at that time) solo effort Mark Knopfler - Shangri-La.

Tracks 1 - 4 are the actual radio show, Tracks 5 - 7 are promo spots, Tracks 8 - 17 are commercial spots, while Tracks 18 - 29 are the actual interview segments separated into individual tracks.
