Side A (Hurricane Ida) is a collage of recordings from our New Orleans, LA (St. Claude Ave / 9th ward) Weather Warlock station during Hurricane Ida. The recordings were made between the hours of 4 pm and approximately 6:50 pm, before our power went out. The recordings for this were all grabbed from the live stream that people were hearing that evening. The music that creeps in towards the end is the FEMA telephone on-hold music that everyone was subjected to post-storm.Side B (Tone Poem for St. Claude Ave) is a music collage about St. Claude Avenue in New Orleans - the street where Miss Pussycat and I have lived for most of our lives. All of the sounds in this were recorded either on St. Claude or just a few blocks off. This music was originally commissioned by a museum in Crystal Bridges Arkansas. Included in this recording are some nuns saying a prayer that they put on the radio all the time, a guy named "Twister", 9th Ward Marching band setting off a car alarm during a parade, Weather Warlock sounds, frog sounds. and King Lee who wrote and recorded the "Tire Shop" single with me a bunch of years ago.
