Event Records
In 1956, Al Hawkes formed an independent bluegrass recording company called Event Records in Westbrook, Maine with Richard Greeley. They recorded many local and national artists. The roster included such names as Dick Curless, Hal Lone Pine, Charlie Bailey (of the Bailey Broothers, the Lilly Brothers & Don Stover to name just a few.
