A division of MTM Music Group, founded in 1984 as a subsidiary of MTM Enterprises, an independent production company owned by actress Mary Tyler Moore (the company name being drawn from her initials) and her then-husband Grant Tinker (born January 11, 1926 – died November 28, 2016).
The label - releasing mostly country music - ceased operations in 1988.
