Nothing Records

Nothing Records was founded in 1992 by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) and then-manager, John A. Malm, Jr. The label continued to grow through the 1990s, finding both commercial success in Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and some high profile soundtrack releases, as well as building a cult underground following with its influential roster of artists, which later included several acts licensed from Warp Records. With the arrival of the new millennium, Nothing's problems slowly built, with parent label mergers, numerous acts departing for various reasons, and ultimately Trent's falling out with long time manager and Nothing president, Malm. Eventually in late 2004, Trent officially pronounced the label defunct, via the Nine Inch Nails website. The Null Corporation later emerged as a similar label for Reznor, although dedicated entirely to his own projects.

Releases originally recorded for Nothing Records, but ultimately released elsewhere:
Coil - Backwards
Trust Obey - Hands Of Ash
Mondo Vanilli - IOU Babe
