Melodisc was an independent record label based in Hollywood, CA that was active from 1945-1946, producing about 40 78s. Founded by Daniel F. O'Brien, the label specialized in jazz and R&B. The Melodisc story ended abruptly in November 1946, when O'Brien's premises burnt down.
