Gloria

German Shellac budget label, operating between 1931 and 1939.

A joint project by the companies Carl Lindström A.-G. and Deutsche Grammophon-Aktiengesellschaft, that started in January 1931.
Due to a discord between the two companies the cooperation already ended in April 1931. Thereafter the label was solely operated by the Carl Lindström A.-G. until 1939, when the Carl Lindström AG was taken under German state trusteeship as enemy property.

It replaced the Derby (3) label.

Note: Around 1962 the label was revived in Germany by the Electrola Gesellschaft m.b.H., and later by EMI in Greece as cassette / 8-track issuer), see Gloria (2).
