Echo Of A Choir In The Night was conceived by People On Ice a while ago as a part of one of their forthcoming studio albums. POI also created an expanded concert version of the Echo for their performance on October 20, 2016 in Shagi-club. The piece is a three-section improvisation performed on two analog modeling synthesizers (Alesis Micron and OP-1) and includes four pre-recorded parts played from a portastudio. The first and last sections are performed on synthesizers only, while the second section is a dialogue between the synthesizers and a sequencer.
