Radio gymnastics (ラジオ体操) refers to gymnastics for the general public aimed at improving people's physical fitness and maintaining and promoting their health, or to radio programs that provide instruction to the accompaniment of piano music for such gymnastics.

Radio Gymnastics No. 3 (ラジオ体操第三) was created together with Radio Gymnastics No. 1 and No. 2 in 1946, just after the end of the war, but was discontinued after only about a year because the choreography was too difficult and the postwar confusion left little time for people to become familiar with the exercises. A few years later, Radio Gymnastics I and II were replaced with the current form. However, the third version was never replaced, and it has become a "phantom radio gymnastics" along with this record.
