Joe Tucci

Real name: Joseph William Tucci

Musician, songwriter, engineer, producer & record label owner, born in 1954 and also known as Eric Matthew
Founded the Disco Funk group Gary's Gang with Gary R. Turnier in the late 70s. They enjoyed chart success from 1978 to the mid 80s.

Around 1982 he formed and operated the independent New York-based Boogie/Garage label Radar Records (2), most notable for heavy club hitters like Toney Lee's "Reach up", Status IV's "You Ain't really Down", Key-Matic's "Breakin in Space", and many others. During Radar Records (2) short-lived years, Tucci released also tracks for labels such as Profile Records, Prelude Records and for artists such as Jekyll & Hyde, The Disco Four, Sharon Redd, Barbara Fowler among others.

Matthew sold the Radar Records (2) catalog to Canada's Unidisc in the early 90's, and they retain ownership to the present day.
In 2019, James Reeno (Spazzoid Records/NYC Records) did a 90 min interview with Tucci which covered everything from the early days with Gary's Gang, up until Radar Records (2), Prelude Records and beyond.
