Pyrus Shelor [fiddle], his brother Jesse [fiddle, vocals] and Jesse's wife Clarice Blackard Shelor [piano, vocals], her father "Dad" Joe Blackard, [banjo, vocals]
Sammy Shelor, born 10 October 1962 Meadows of Dan is a relative: his great-great grandfather Shelor married Dad Blackard's sister.
A few years ago, knowing about a "Shelor Family" who recorded at the Bistrol Session, I asked Sammy Shelor about them.
The most interessant thing he told me was about Clarice Shelor: "she was a big woman, and the floor shook when she played the piano".
