Naseer Shamma

Iraqi oud player and composer, born in Al-Kut in 1963. Studied at the Baghdad Institute of Music where he received a diploma in musical art in 1987. He has developed his own unique 8-string oud.Currently director of the Beit Al-Oud Al-Arabi at Al-Harawi Cairo, which was founded in 1998.
