Indulgence is a Thrash Metal band from Noordwijk Holland The Netherlands that has existed since 1996.The current band members are Jack van Duin (guitar), Michiel Wesseling (drums), Leo Remmelzwaal (vocals), Vincent van Duijn (bass) & James Schot (guitar).
Their musical influences come from bands like Slayer, Metallica, Exodus, Prong, Iron Maiden, Endor and Rebaelliun. With these in mind they’ve managed to create their own style and sound, and they are able to deliver a diverse live set.
In 1996 the band existed out of Jack van Duin (bass), Ramfis Adrichem (guitar), Arno van Duin (vocals), Michiel Wesseling (drums) & Ron Roest (guitar) with this formation they recorded their first CD “Between Two Worlds” (1999).
The band underwent a line-up change and Lean van Rijn took over the vocals and Ron Roest played all guitar parts. Then the second CD “Plain Anger” (2006) was recorded.
And yet again the band changed and it’s members, this time Jack van Duin started playing guitar and gave the bass over to Vincent van Duijn. Later he passed it over to Rick Severijns. Leo Remmelzwaal came and took over the vocals and Kevin de Haas assisted Jack with playing guitar. With this line-up the third CD “Darkside” (2018) was recorded.
After recording the album the bass was taken over by Maarten Dongelmans and with a blaze of hell fire James Schot took over the guitar from Kevin de Haas shortly after that. Indulgence was stable with fresh ideas or so they thought, but unfortunately due to medical reasons Maarten Dongelmans was forced to leave the band. Rick Severijns came back to help the guys out, but while recording the fourth CD he quit the band and former bassist Vincent van Duijn came back to join the band and the fourth CD “Grim Times” (2024) was recorded and is going to be released by Headbangers Records and Big Bad Wolf Records.
“Grim Times” has not been released yet and the band already has enough material to create a next album. The band has a stable line-up again so look out world: here they come!!
