Goes by both the name "Asuka" in the 80s and "Asqua" in the 90s.

Asuka is a Japanese singer-songwriter. In 1982 Asuka received the Excellent Song Award at the Yamaha Popular Music Contest with the song "Subito", winning the World Popular Song Festival Grand Prix and became a 300,000 debuts hit with the release of the single.

Asuka was one of the principle songwriters for Onyanko Club member #16 Mamiko Takai solo material.

Asuka died in 2013 due to cancer.

Younger sister of 菅律子.
