English pop group formed in 1964 in Boston, England. Without success in their home country, the band migrated to Denmark around New Year 1965/66 and became teenage idols in the second half of the 1960's in Denmark and Sweden, known for their heavily The Four Seasons/The Beach Boys-inspired vocals by singers David Garriock and Ronnie Martin (2). Late 1968 Martin left the band, the first of a long number of changes to the lineup leaving Garriock as the only original member. In 1969 Norwegian singer Jahn Teigen was in the band while touring Israel. The band folded shortly before Christmas 1969. In the period 1975-78 Garriock lead Squares (3) in an attempt to revive the band. In 1989 he re-formed a new incarnation of The Red Squares with himself as the sole original member.
