John Cutliffe helped formed The Pyros in his home town of Buncrana. The group developed a cult following in the North West of Ireland. Various lineups have featured the cream of Donegal musicians including Kevin Doherty (Four Men and a Dog) and Ciaran Tourish (Altan).
The Pyros returned to Donegal 2010 to record a CD. The album, titled "At Last" was recorded in the tiny town of Culdaff in the legendary McGrory's Backroom Bar. On May 29, 2020 the album was finally released digitally on online platforms. A song from that CD mixed with pictures and video snippets from the band's Irish tour Christmas 2009 was published online. ·
