Mary McCarthy

Real name: Sterry Moore

Effective period / Period of releases: 1967

1960s UK singer. Originally known as Sterry Moore, she replaced The London Beats lead singer Linda Crabtree aka Linda Fortune Still known as Sterry Moore, she sang on The London Beats 1966 EP, Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood.

She was later in a duo with Mickey Moore called Mickey And Mary. They recorded a single for CBS which was released in 1967. Going solo, she recorded "The Folk I Love" / "You Know He Did" which was released on CBS in 1967. She followed up with another CBS release, "Happy Days and Lonely Nights" / "Easy Kind of Love", both of them released on CBS in 1967.

Her engagement to ex manager of The Foundations, Ron Fairway was announced on page 2 in the December 2, 1967 issue of Disc and Music Echo..
