American pop singer & songwriter best known for her 1956 hit single, "Ivory Tower."
Born June 28, 1925. Died November 22, 1988.

She became a singer and dancer with the USO and joined big band orchestras including Johnny Dee, Larry Fotine and Sammy Kaye, sometimes as Cathy Carr and sometimes as Cathy Cordovan..
Overall as a singer, she charted eight times between 1956 and 1962, with her top song being "Ivory Tower", which hit #2. She never charted as a songwriter. Most of her songwriting credits were under the name "Cathy Cordovan".
