American blues singer and drummer, active in Memphis, Tennessee, in the 1940s and 1950s.
Born: August 6, 1922 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA
Died: July 9, 1991 in Leland, Mississippi, USA

Nix first recorded RPM in Memphis in 1951, recorded again the Sun studio in Memphis in 1952 (with two sides on Checker and two more sides on Sun released at the time) and had a last recording session in for Chance in Chicago, Illinois, in 1953.
He also appeared in the backing bands behind Earl Hooker, Walter Horton, Gus Jenkins, and Joe Hill Louis in the same time period.
