Jailene Cintrón, on recordings credited as Jailene[1] (born 28 May 1966 in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican merengue singer and recording artist, as well as a TV personality and entertainer.She was the female co-host of the talk and variety show "No te Duermas" from 1989 to 1994.
Merengue singer Jailene debuted in 1995 with a self-titled LP which helped her win "Best Female Tropical Artist of Year" honors at the Univision Network's Premio Lo Nuestro Awards. Como Toda Mujer followed a year later, and in 1997 Jailene returned with Aquí Estoy, launching the hit "Regresa A Mi." Encontre El Amor appeared in 1998.
"Encontré El Amor" was among the four works nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Merengue Album.
