German conductor, born 23 August 1927 in Cronenberg (now Wuppertal) and died 12 July 1993 in Stuttgart, Germany.

He was a student of Hans Swarowsky. A former fellow student, Alfred Scholz, later produced recordings under Zanotelli's name, often with an orchestra named Norddeutsche Philharmonie. It is highly dubious whether Zanotelli actually conducted any of these recordings. Hans Zanotelli (2) may be used here.
