Real name: Stewart Wilson Hopper

Australian poet and songwriter.

Born in 1925 on his mother and father's property, Rangeview, at Cooranga, North Queensland. He was the middle of 13 children. At the age of 16 his father died and he went out west and worked on stations as a horse breaker. He later bought his own property Risley, which was subsequently amalgamated with Rangeview. Hopper was a member of the Bush Poets, and Country Music Association, he had one song recorded, many many poems published, and his own book.
