A danish rapper from the city of Aalborg, born on October 18th, 1969. Started off as drum player for the black metal band named Geronimo.
Then later became involved in the hiphop scene, first with the group 'Mortmain' (ca. 1996), then 'Mørkemændene' in 1998, with the single 'Jorden er giftig'. The same time where the alias 'Jonny Hefty' originated as a character.
In year 2000 he won a demo competition TRAX on Danmarks Radio, with the reward of a debut release, that came to be named 'Hængerøv & Håndtegn'.
Hefty was behind the radio sketch programme 'Rockstarz' on DR P3, and has worked with other danish rappers such as Niarn and Jøden, the latter of which he especially does to this day.
Johnny Hefty is the cousin of rap producer Jon Ørom.
