Pavel Kogan (born June 6, 1952, Moscow, USSR) is a Soviet and Russian violinist and conductor. People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1994). Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (1997).Artistic director and chief conductor of the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra (1989-2022).
Son of Leonid Kogan and Elisabeth Gilels. Brother of Nina Kogan.
