Freestyle group from Chicago, Illinois, active in the late of 1980/early 1990's.
Joel Rodriguez from East Chicago, Indiana met Jesse Settle and they founded the singing group "Duo" in 1989, which eventually became "Legacy", performing background vocals, raps and dance choreography. The name originated as "Latin Legacy", but then was shortened to a catchier "Legacy".

In 1991, Joel Rodriguez left to pursue a solo career. Settle continued as three-piece band along with "Hot Mix Javie" (Javier Romero) and Juanie Rodriguez. In 1994 Juanie Rodriguez left the group and was replaced by Eric D. Perez, but eventually Rodriguez came back to join Legacy once more.
In 1995, Jesse Settle along with Javier Romero went to jail.
