Orchestra Sinfonica Di Torino Della RAI

Effective period / Period of releases: 1950 - 2007

Members: Natalino Ricciardo, Daniele Damiano, Clemente Gusella, Giuseppe Ferrari (3)

One of four RAI orchestras formed at the end of the war in Italy. The Turin orchestra originated from the earlier Orchestra Sinfonica Dell'Eiar, established in 1931, and was the most prolific/prestigious. The others were formed later, and were based in Rome (Orchestra Sinfonica Di Roma Della RAI), Milan (Orchestra Sinfonica Di Milano Della RAI), and, later, Naples (Orchestra "Alessandro Scarlatti" di Napoli Della RAI).

In 1994, the four orchestras were merged in Turin, under the name of the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Della RAI
