American jazz pianist, born April 13, 1934 in Charleston, West Virginia, died December 17, 1982.Worked as accompanist to Billie Holiday 1956, then toured and recorded as pianist, arranger and conductor for Della Reese 1957-1959 and Sarah Vaughn 1961-1963. Later led own group in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
