American singer and actor (June 18, 1918-November 19, 1994).
As a singer, he sang with a number of orchestras, including Charlie Barnet, Jimmy Dorsey, and Glenn Miller in the 1940s and Gordon Jenkins (for whom he recorded the hit "Charmaine" in 1951) in the 1950s.
