Scam was a rock band formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1986 under the name Uncle Scam. Originally started by singer George Reagan and guitarist Scott Crump, the band added bassist Mike Vanderheiden and guitarist John Gonzalez in 1988. In 1989, drummer Rick Ojeda joined the band and its name was changed to Scam.
