German organist, born March 12, 1939 in NYC, died March 1st, 2015 in New Haven, CT.
He was the son of a German ambassador in USA and moved later to a number of other countries. Jordan became one of the world's best organists and Bach expert, graduated in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, the Yale School of Music and the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago.
In the 1970's, was one of the supporters on the so-called 'Moondog Project", dealing with support of the blind street musician Moondog. Also, he held a professorship at the Binghamton University, (SUNY) New York and was musical director of the United Church on the Green in New Haven and other churches in Connecticut.
