Just after Parthenogenesis (Παρθενογένεσις) disbanded, Vasilis Paleokostas (Billy Knight) got together with Giorgos Dalambiras (Alvin Dean) and formed Statues In Motion in the summer of 1981. They composed their own tracks collaborating with their close friend Ilias Mitsakis (Ηλίας Μητσάκης) who wrote lyrics in English. Recordings for an album were completed by mid-1982, but financial arguments, kept the LP from being released.

The band played live only once, on 12th June 1983. A few months after the concert, Paleokostas leaves Greece and the group breaks up. Their sole album was released in December 1983.
