Friedrich Wührer

Austrian pianist, conductor and piano pedagogue, born 29 June 1900 in Vienna, Austria; died 27 December 1975 in Mannheim, Germany. After his studies at the Vienna Academy he had engagements as a teacher in Mannheim, Kiel, Vienna and at the Mozarteum Salzburg. From 1955 he taught at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Munich.He is the father of violinist Friedrich Wührer (2).
