Sergey Dizhur (1924–2000) was a Russian organist and harpsichordist, widely regarded as the virtuoso performer and unparalleled master of registration. He studied piano with Heinrich Neuhaus and organ with Alexander Goedicke and Michael Starokadomsky, graduating from the Moscow Conservatory. In 1957–63, Dizhur played harpsichord at Moscow Chamber Orchestra. From the fifties to the mid-nineties, Sergey toured extensively in Russia, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Great Britain, USA, Italy and other countries.

As a performer, he revealed to the Russian audience many unfamiliar composers, including Nicolas De Grigny, Louis Marchand, Franz Tunder, and Johann Nepomuk David. Dizhur premiered Six Fugues on B–A–C–H for organ by Robert Schumann, Livre d'Orgue by Olivier Messiaen, and all Johannes Brahms organ works.

Dizhur started teaching in 1951 as an assistant of Heinrich Neuhaus. For thirty years, he taught piano at the Central Music School, and in 1992 he started working at the Organ Chair of the Moscow Conservatory (as the Professor since 1996).
